I love engineering. I love learning. I love applying what I learn to create solutions. When it comes to what I love, I used to want to be the best - but in my experience nobody is the best alone. When it comes to what I love, I will be part of the best.
I’m a hardware engineer of many hats knee-deep in mixed-signal electronics design, novel materials, circuit boards in every form factor, and the practical details that make hardware work at every scale of production.
Professionally, my work has included analog stacks for optoelectronic metrology, prototype debug, EMI/ESD robustness, aerospace reliability procedure, and rigorous analytical diligence the likes of which would make an actuary blush.
This website is a fruit cake of everything but my kitchen sink and some dubiously acquired samples of my DNA. Only consider the parts you like.
Projects, anecdotes, commentary, research rabbit holes, and some curiosities I keep revisiting abound.

The Usual™
Oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, DMMs, AWGs, soldering/rework tools, and failure-isolation setups.
Design Tooling of Choice
Design tooling of choice: KiCad, Altium, LTSpice, PSpice for TI, SolidWorks, MATLAB/Simulink, Python, C/C++, and a meticulous folder of relevant documents.
Honorable mention: a bic crystal and any surface that can take ink.
Dishonorable mention: a sharpie and any surface previously believed to not take ink.
The Unusual™
Formally educated in, but pragmatic with, software dev: util scripts, test helpers, data cleanup, web scraping, and whatever makes hardware work move faster. Sometimes I get serious with it - FPGAs tend to require such finesse.
